Honduras kept its lead in the qualifying for 2010 World Cup, routing Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 on Saturday.
For Honduras: Carlos Pavon scored in the 19th and 27th minutes, Amado Guevara made it 3-0 in the 61st and David Suazo scored final goal in the 83rd. Jerry Baptiste scored for Trinidad and Tobago, which has little chance to make it to the World Cup.
Honduras is at Mexico on Wednesday night, while the United States is at Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica is at El Salvador.
The top three nations advance to next year's tournament, and the No. 4 nation meets South American's fifth-place team in a playoff.
