COL FB: Utah 49, Colorado State 16
Backup quarterback Corbin Louks rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead 13th-ranked Utah to a 49-16 victory over Colorado State.
Louks also completed the only pass he attempted, for a 37-yard gain.
Matt Asiata also had two rushing touchdowns, carrying eight times for 41 yards. The Utes piled up 327 rushing yards. Brian Johnson completed 18-of-26 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception for unbeaten Utah (8-0, 4-0 Mountain West).
Billy Farris completed 19-of-33 passes for 166 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Colorado State (3-4, 1-2), which has lost three of its last four games. Gartrell Johnson rushed for 95 yards on 20 carries, and Dion Morton had a touchdown reception for the Rams.
Colorado State trailed 28-16 with 7:36 left in the third period but Utah scored the game's closing 21 points.
