Contradictory incidents between Zimbru and Sheriff

The parties involved in the incident produced a day before the semifinal tour match of the Moldova Football Cup between Zimbru Chisinau and Sheriff Tiraspol, disputed on April 7, made contradictory statements on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 10-11).

The statements claim that the father of Sheriff player Simion Bulgaru was arrested by public order representatives at the entrance of "Zimbru" stadium for the simple fact that they called out several times "Sheriff". He and a relative of his were taken to the police station. "Both of them were cruelly beaten and released at 3 o'clock in the morning", the statement says. It also reads that the medical expertise revealed lack of alcohol in the blood of the arrested.

The press release also says that in the middle of the first reprise of the match stones were thrown towards the sector where Sheriff supporters sat, and public order officers reacted with delays. According to the statement, during the entire match sector 8 spit out insults addressed to player Simion Bulgaru.

Sources within the Botanica police station stated for the press that Vasile Bulgaru, the father of player Simion Bulgaru, caused himself injuries and had an uncivilized behavior.
