David Beckham undergoes emergency surgery
David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, leave a private clinic on Wednesday (March 17) in Turku, Finland.
The 34-year-old soccer star underwent emergency surgery on his left Achilles tendon after injuring himself in the AC Milan/Chievo match on Sunday (March 14).
“I have appreciated so much all the messages I have received after the injury,” David said in a statement (via BBC).
“I want to thank from my heart all the Rossoneri. The club, the doctors, my team-mates and the fans.”
David is expected to recover completely in six months and “will be able to play again,” according to a statement from AC Milan.
