Igor Dobrovolschi became coach of national football team

Former Anatol Teslev's mate for the national football team, Igor Dobrovolschi became chief steering of the Moldovan league on Friday, December 22.

Moldovan Football Federation Chairman Pavel Ciobanu stated in a press conference to the press that the new coach is entrusted with a difficult mission. "The team he trains must gain 9-12 points in the remainder of the matches within the preliminaries of the European Championship", he said.

Igor Dobrovolschi was more reserved with the declarations. "I will include the best players at the moment in the team", he said.

In his career, Dobrovolschi performed as a player in Nistru Chisinau, Dinamo Moscow, Castellon (Spain), Servette (Switzerland), Genoa (Italy), Olympique Marseille (France), Atletico Madrid (Spain), Fortuna Dusseldorf (Germany).

He had played 46 matches and scored 10 goals in 10 years at the Soviet Union and Russia's league (1986-1995, 1998).

He was on of the best players of the soviet team at the Seul Olympiad, scoring 6 goals in 6 matches. Igor Dobrovolschi is a European Youth Champion (1990), emeritus sports master; and in 1990 he was designated best football player of the Soviet Union. He played in the World Championship in Italy (1990, 3 matches, 1 goal); European Championship (Sweden, 1992, 3 matches, 1 goal), European Championship in England (1996, one match). // BASA-Press
