Manama(dpa) - Italian Serie A leaders Inter Milan defeated Bahrain national team 6 to 1 on Saturday in a friendly match in Riffa, south of the capital Manama.

Bahrain's midfielder Hussein Salman Habib scored his country's only goal in the 84th minute of the game held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bahrain Football Association.
Inter Milan arrived in Bahrain last Tuesday and held their first training session at Bahrain Stadium in Riffa, south of Manama, shortly after their arrival.
Inter coach, former Italian international Roberto Mancini, had said earlier that they were taking the match seriously because they needed to train.
During a press conference Tuesday, the Inter boss had denied that Luis Figo will transfer to Saudi Al-Ittihad and that Real Madrid David Beckham would transfer to Inter, but Al-Ittihad chairman, Mansour al-Balwi said Friday that Figo had signed a one-year contract with his club.
According to al-Balwi, Figo, whose contract with Inter Milan expires in June, will join the team in July after signing a contract worth 5.9 million dollars (4.5 million euros), one of the largest sports contracts in the Middle East.
