Marquis (4-1) pitched a five-hitter with one walk and four strikeouts among his 113 pitches.

Ryan Spilborghs hit a leadoff homer in the first and a two-run shot with no outs in the top of the fifth and led Colorado with three hits. Brad Hawpe's lone hit was a solo homer with no outs in the sixth.

Garrett Atkins hit an RBI single in the third, while both Todd Helton and Troy Tulowitzki had two hits for the Rockies, who have won four of their last six contests.

A leadoff homer by Pablo Sandoval in the bottom of the ninth produced San Francisco's only run.
