MLS: Toronto FC 1, Columbus 1 (tie)
Chad Barrett's goal in the 64th minute Saturday helped Toronto FC play to a 1-1 Major League Soccer tie against the Columbus Crew.
Barrett's second goal this season kept the defending MLS Cup champion Crew winless through seven games (0-2-5) this season.
Columbus had taken a 1-0 lead when Emmanuel Ekpo scored in the 54th minute.
Ekpo squeezed by Reds defenders Jim Brennan and Marco Velez, dribbled around rookie netminder Stefan Frei and scored on the right side.
Frei had his shutout streak ended at 240 minutes -- the second longest in club history.
Toronto (3-2-3) is unbeaten in its four contests in Canada, but is 0-4-4 all-time against the Crew.
The teams also played to a 1-1 tie at Columbus March 28.
