NBA: Miami 92, Cleveland 89
Dwyane Wade scored 24 of his 41 points in the fourth quarter Thursday night to boost the Miami Heat to a 92-89 win over Cleveland.
In an erratic performance, Wade sank only nine of 20 from the field and also committed a franchise-record 12 turnovers. But the Heat managed to overcome a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win for the second straight time.
Wade's saving grace was sinking his first 20 free throws before finally missing with 18 seconds left.
Shaquille O'Neal had 16 points and eight rebounds, and Jason Kapono added 13 points for the Heat, who moved within 3 ВЅ games of Washington in the Southeast Division.
Daniel Gibson scored 19 points to lead the Cavaliers.
LeBron James, who was limited by sprained right big toe and made only six of 18 shots, had 17 points and nine assists. Drew Gooden added 11 points and nine rebounds as the Cavaliers lost for the seventh time in their last 10 games.
