NBA: New Orleans 118, LA Lakers 104
Peja Stojakovic nailed a career-high 10 three-pointers and finished with 36 points Tuesday, powering New Orleans to a 118-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
David West contributed 22 points and eight rebounds for the Hornets, who improved to 4-0.
Chris Paul helped New Orleans with 19 points and a career-best 21 assists. Tyson Chandler contributed 10 points and nine rebounds, while Rasual Butler chipped in 11 points.
Kobe Bryant poured in 28 points, had seven assists and six rebounds for the Lakers, who were looking to win their third straight contest. Ronny Turiaf had 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting and also grabbed seven rebounds.// Copyright 2007 by United Press International
