NBA: Sacramento 104, Seattle 98
New Sacramento Coach Reggie Theus got his first win Tuesday, thanks to a 31-point performance from Kevin Martin that helped the Kings hold off Seattle 104-98.
Martin also grabbed seven rebounds and had five assists. John Salmons added 23 points, while Brad Miller had 16 points and 11 boards for Sacramento, which opened the season with three straight road losses before getting Theus a win in his ARCO Arena debut. Quincy Douby also had 13 points off the bench.
The winless SuperSonics were led by Wally Szczerbiak's game-high 32 points. Kevin Durant contributed 27 points and seven rebounds, while Nick Collison donated 12 points and seven boards as Seattle slipped to 0-4.// Copyright 2007 by United Press International
