Qatar may lose the right to organize football World Cup 2022
Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- FIFA President Sepp Blatter has confirmed that it will initiate an inquiry to investigate the British newspapers, Sunday Times, revelations according to which certain members of the Executive Committee had been bribed by officials from Qatar to choose Arabic as the organizing country of the CM 2022, writes Prosport.
"I've talked to the Sunday Times newspaper bosses and agreed to put us on the person who found this information to help in the investigation. For now, we do not know any name, even if it is a man or woman," Blatter explained.
The scandal erupted a week ago, followed by a meeting of the Committee on Sport in the British Parliament were explained the reasons for missing the target organization of the tournament, during which MP Damian Collins brought that argument in its favor that it would be clear evidence as Issa Hayatou and Jacques Anouma had received money from the representatives of Qatar.
"Are competent authorities who can handle this problem, you should discuss and resolve this matter in the FIFsA Congress. We want to see first whether the allegations are false or true, and then we will take action. It is certainly an issue to be clarified", Blatter added.
