Sheriff reign again in Moldova
FC Sheriff triumphed 1-0 at FC Nistru Otaci today to win the Moldovan title for the seventh season running.
Nikolas Demalde scored the only goal midway through the first half to move Sheriff to 79 points, 17 clear of CSF Zimbru Chisinau – the last club to finish above Sheriff, in 2000 - with five rounds remaining. Sheriff will now enter the UEFA Champions League in the first qualifying round in the summer, while Zimbru and Nistru are on course for UEFA Cup qualification, as well as contesting the Moldovan Cup final on 9 May. // UEFA
