Steaua Bucharest vs Standard Liege: 2 - 2
Steaua Bucharest of Romania makes a big step for the group stage of the Champions League with a 2-2 draw at Standard Liege in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie on Wednesday.
Sorin Paraschiv put the ball in a goal in a 8 minute in first half. But a few minutes ago (16th minute) Milan Rapaic curled a 20-
metre free kick into the top corner of the net, and the score became a 1 : 1.
The Croatian midfielder put Liege in front five minutes after the interval with a sweet left-footed volley from the edge of the box.
But as Liege sat on their slim lead, Bucharest levelled in the 79th minute through Petre Marin whose diagonal cross sneaked surprisingly into the bottom corner of the Liege goal.
