U.S. amateur golf semifinals set

Danny Lee, Patrick Reed, Drew Kittleson and Adam Mitchell are semifinalists in the battle for the 2008 U.S. amateur golf championship at Pinehurst, N.C.

Lee advanced with a 4 and 3 quarterfinal win Friday over Morgan Hoffman. Reed also scored a 4 and 3 victory, defeating Graham Hill.

Kittleson topped Derek Fathhauer 3 and 2 and Mitchell was a 2 and 1 winner over Charlie Holland.

Lee goes against Reed and Kittleson plays Mitchell in the semis Saturday. The winners will meet in a 36-hole championship match Sunday.
