Josh Johnson's complete-game four-hitter Wednesday led the Florida Marlins to a 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves.

The 6-foot-7 right-hander, making his best start in three major league seasons, walked three batters and fanned eight in his first career shutout.

It was his seventh straight winning decision since returning from Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgery July 10 and was activated from the 15-day disabled list.

Hanley Ramirez had two hits and two RBI. Dan Uggla hit a solo ninth-inning homer, had two hits and scored three times.

Wes Helms added one RBI for the Marlins, who had split their previous eight games and fallen six games behind Philadelphia for the top spot in the National League East Division.

Atlanta scored on Martin Prado's fifth-inning groundout.

Jeff Francoeur had two of the four hits for the Braves, who have split their last four games.

The losing pitcher was starter Mike Hampton (2-2).
