Nelbandian, Anic advance at Stockholm

Top seeds David Nalbandian of Argentina and Mario Ancic of Croatia led Tuesday's first-round winners at the $980,000 Stockholm Open in Sweden.

Nalbandian breezed by American Bobby Reynolds 6-1, 6-1, and Ancic had 19 aces while beating Belgian Olivier Rochus 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.

Fifth-seeded Wimbledon semifinalist Rainer Schuettler of Germany won 6-0, 6-3 over Australian Chris Guccione and sixth-seeded Argentine Jose Acasuso nipped German qualifier Matthias Bachinger 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 7-6 (7-4).

Joachim Johansson of Sweden, who entered the draw as a wild card this week, beat Frenchman Nicolas Mahut 7-5, 7-6 (7-5). Johansson retired from the ATP back in February citing ongoing shoulder problems, but decided to return to action in Stockholm this week.

I didn't feel anything on my shoulder, so that is very positive, said former world No. 9 Johansson. Regardless on how I do in Stockholm, I want to take things slowly and get back on the circuit little by little.
