Ichiro Suzuki and Jose Vidro had home runs Friday night to help the Seattle Mariners coast past Kansas City, 10-2.

The aces of the two staffs started the game and both left with back injuries.

Seattle's Felix Hernandez (3-2) got the win, his first since coming off the disabled list. Hernandez, who had been suffering from a strained muscle in his forearm, gave up two runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings before exiting.

Gil Meche (3-3) had to leave in the fifth inning. He surrendered seven hits on 11 hits.

Seattle blasted out 18 hits, including seven doubles. Adrian Beltre and Yuniesky Betancourt had three hits each and Raul Ibanez scored three times.
