Dan Johnson drove in a pair of runs Tuesday, leading the Oakland Athletics to a 6-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Athletics won for the seventh time in their last nine games. Jeff DaVanon and Kurt Suzuki each contributed an RBI.

Dan Haren (14-4) gave up four runs on six hits in six innings but didn't walk a batter and struck out nine en route to his career-high-tying 14th win. Huston Street earned his 12th save with a scoreless ninth.

Frank Thomas hit two solo homers for the Blue Jays, who have lost three of their last four games. Vernon Wells added a two-run homer.

Dustin McGowan allowed three runs on five hits in five innings. The right-hander walked four and struck out seven. Brian Tallet (2-3) suffered the loss in relief.
