You're feeling pretty good about yourself, but other people are quite sensitive to signs of arrogance -- so try to keep a lid on it! Let your results speak for themselves when things are all over.

NHL: San Jose 4, Columbus 2

Four Sharks scored Wednesday when San Jose topped the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2.

Jonathan Cheechoo's 19th goal (power play) this season at 7:28 of the first period staked the winners to a 1-0 lead.

Torrey Mitchell, Jeremy Roenick and Joe Pavleski also scored.

Joe Thornton had two assists and Pavleski one. Netminder Evgeni Nabokov stopped 17 of 19 shots for the Sharks, who were playing their first contest with All-Star defenseman Brian Campbell, acquired from Buffalo ahead of Tuesday's trading deadline.

Campbell assisted on Pavleski's 13th at 18:52 of the second and the Sharks got their third straight win during a season-high eight-game road trip.

David Vyborny scored both goals, his first two-goal game since March 7, 2007, and Pascal Leclaire was beaten four times on 32 shots for the Blue Jackets, who had won their previous two games at Ottawa and Montreal.

With just 67 points, they are not likely to earn a Western Conference playoff berth.
